About Medwyn Surgery

Medwyn Surgery is situated in the market town of Dorking and is a member of the Surrey Primary Care Trust (East Surrey Locality).

The practice has a very clear objective in wanting to provide patients with the very highest standards of healthcare. This is not only in terms of medical care, but also with regard to health information and awareness.

Medwyn Surgery can trace it's foundations back to the early 1900's when it was run as a single-handed general practice. Over the years the practice has expanded and now offers care to over 7000 residents in the Dorking locality. Since 2003 the partnership has consisted of Dr. Chris Monella, Dr. Louise Tomei, Dr. Stewart Tomlinson and Dr. Raj Sekhon.

In May 2006 the practice moved from its site in Moores Road to a purpose-built 'One-Stop' healthcare centre on Reigate Road, next to Dorking Leisure Centre. In addition to a traditional family general practice surgery the new Medwyn Centre now offers NHS dentistry, on-site pharmacy, an out of hours 'urgent care' centre, physiotherapy, podiatric surgery and a base for the community nursing staff.
